The Learn2Live Programme is a personal and social development programme that aims to build vital personal, social and communication skills in young people who have been excluded from mainstream education.
Through two half-day workshops per week, one on site and one off site, we use a wide variety of activities to challenge and educate the young people, and to make it something they enjoy and want to attend.
Through drama and role-play activities, lateral thinking exercises, team games, sport, and other tools, we aim to build their self-confidence, develop team working skills, challenge attitudes, broaden their communication, and develop individuality and creativity.
Fundamental to our programme is the development of good relationships between the young people and the FST team, so that trust is built between them and the young people feel supported in whatever they are facing.
During 2008, 34% of all young people that attended the Learn2Live Programme re-integrated back into mainstream education.
